Hatha Yoga Pradipika: Self Realization through the body
We will begin each class with a brief discussion of Hatha Yoga, followed by a complete physical practice, relaxation and meditation. Hatha Yoga is a branch of Classical Yoga that encourages purification via the physical body. In this session we will discuss various aspects, including Yoga postures, nutrition, breath control, purifying exercises (kriyas), physical locks (bandhas) and gestures (mudras) which increase our awareness of our energetic system. This class is appropriate for all levels of Yoga experience.
