Wondering if you are experiencing SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), a seasonal cyclic form of depression thought to be triggered by a lack of sunlight during the winter? Want to do something, but not sure what, to rebalance your sense of well being?
Restorative Yoga postures may be the perfect practice to rebalance and restore the body’s nervous system, combating those winter “blues”. It may appear that Restorative Yoga is a passive practice. Don’t be fooled by this; this is a very active internal practice, on subtle and dramatic levels, potently “recalibrating” the nervous system. Combining poses completely supported with props, intentional breathwork and stilling of the mind helps to strengthen and support your emotional health.
